Based in Atlanta, Angela has more than 16 years of internal and external auditing experience working with state and local government entities, federal contractors and not-for-profit organizations. Her career includes more than 10 years of public accounting experience and 6 years as outsourced Controller/Chief Financial Officer in variety of industries including technology services, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, transportation, logistics, government and pharmaceuticals. Angela has also served as an outsourced City Manager overseeing federal and state contracts and grant awards. With Global Defense Consulting, Inc. she now serves as a Senior Management Consultant and Controller Center Director.
Angela specializes in cost accounting, GAAP compliance, reviewing and revising job cost accounting systems in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 31, audit preparation, liaison and support, interim Controller and Chief Financial Officer, due diligence, government contract compliance, and contract and subcontract administration. In addition to providing consulting services, as the Controller Center Director, she provides oversight to our senior and staff accountants providing outsourced accounting, administrative and monthly reporting services to our clients across the United States.
Her professional experience includes serving as an Audit Manager in the Assurance and Advisory Group at Arthur Andersen, LLP and Internal Audit with the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration.
Angela also possesses excellent training and mentoring skills having served as an instructor at the Arthur Andersen St. Charles Worldwide Training center on Assurance and Business Advisory Auditing Techniques and as a subject matter expert and author with the AICPA. She is also experienced in accounting system implementation, support and training on Deltek GCS Premier and Costpoint.
Angela has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida A&M University and a Masters in Accountancy from Florida State University. She is a member of the Board of Governors of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
